Respond to the Haiti Disaster

First Presbyterian Church Visalia, California - A Relationship Centered Church

The leadership and members of First Pres are actively responding to the disaster in Haiti. Please join us in efforts to serve people in immediate need through the opportunities below.

 If you would like to make a monetary gift to directly support crucial needs in Haiti, please consider the following agencies where First Pres has already directed gifts:

(1) Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (the arm of the Presbyterian denomination that expertly deals with worldwide crises – www.pcusa.org/pda)

(2) Living Waters for the World (a clean water system ministry of the Presbyterian denomination - http://www.livingwatersfortheworld.org)

(3) One Great Hour of Sharing (a disaster-response and assistance ministry of the Presbyterian denomination - http://www.pcusa.org/oghs)

(4) Presbyterian Peacemaking (a ministry supporting peace throughout the world as part of the Presbyterian denomination - http://www.pcusa.org/peacemaking).

If you would like to make a donation through First Pres, please write a check to First Pres with a memo for Haiti Relief and the organization you would like your donation to go to.

First Pres is also beginning plans to send teams to Haiti in the spring, likely to address clean water system repair. If you are interested in this venture or have other ideas, please contact the church office at 732-8627.
