Carol was born in Jackson, Tennessee, and spent her early childhood years in Columbus, Georgia, before moving to Santa Clara, California, for most of her "growing up" years. She is a graduate of Fresno Pacific College with a degree in political science. Carol joined the First Pres team in 1999 after working many years in corporate business as an executive assistant.

She is married to Rod who teaches at Conyer School. She is blessed with a daughter, Janine, who graduates from Westmont College in Spring 2007. Carol enjoys spending time with family and friends, her church family and her small group. She enjoys traveling anywhere, but especially to Santa Barbara to see her daughter and to San Francisco to see the Giants play. Shopping, trying new restaurants, tending roses, and walking on the beach
are also on her list of fun things to do.
