Over the years, many members and friends of First Pres have given gifts to our Endowment Fund. These gifts have been prayerfully and carefully invested by our Endowment Board, which is elected by the congregation and oversees the Fund.
The Board invests the Fund’s assets and monitors its performance regularly. The principal is never touched and the income is used for missions, maintenance, capital purposes, children’s and student camp scholarships, or as the donor has specifically designated.
Some of the ways members can support the Endowment Fund are the following:
- Cash
- Real Estate
- Personal Property
- Life Insurance
- Stocks and Bonds
Our Endowment Board can assist members in selecting a type of gift which works best for them. Our goal is to see that all of our members have the opportunity in their estate planning to further the mission and outreach of First Presbyterian Church. The result will be to ensure that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be proclaimed both here and abroad for many years to come.
Second Century Society
The Second Century Society includes anyone who has included First Pres in their estate. If you are interested in contributing to the Endowment Fund and being a part of the legacy of ministry through First Pres, please contact the church business administrator in the church office at (559) 732-8627.
