Eastern Germany
Mission
In
April an interdenominational team of 46 people went to Mecklenburg,
Germany to reach out to other youth and adults and support
the struggling Christians who feel so alone. We built and
strengthened relationships with people in13 churches, led
or participated in 11 worship services, 9 different children’s
programs and helped clean the church in Stavenhagen. Things
have changed since the fall of the Berlin Wall, but many
people of Mecklenburg live in deep spiritual poverty. We
are committed to showing them we care and to provide support
to Christians in Mecklenburg to help them reach out to others,
through children’s program training, worship and music
training and to continue serving as agents of reconciliation,
building bridges over deep fears and mistrust. We look forward
to a group coming to Visalia in February, 2007, led by Pastor
Melanie Dango of our sister church in Stavenhagen. An adult
trip and youth outreach trips are being planned. We encourage
you to be a Light Bearer.
